I like it when understanding comes. While growing up life has been a variation of "This is" as we learn not to grab hot containers or this is dangerous, don't do it or "this is "good for you. John, writing from the experience of being with the Lord Jesus Christ for all of his earthly ministry also writes from a lifetime of walking out this faith. One of the great freedoms of salvation is that there is nothing hidden. No words I have spoken to one that I have to stay ahead of because they were not true words. Freedom is peace of God or from God to us who believe. Gods word is true. I'll give you an example, Philippians 4:8 Whatsoever things are true, we are told to think on these things. So as a good Bab-ta-cost-tal,  I looked up true in the Strong's concordance TRUE-Greek word #227 true (as not concealing) this is interesting seeing that revelation is the cornerstone of spiritual growth. Remember Peter receiving from God the father that Jesus is the Christ the son of God and Jesus blessed him and told him flesh and blood did not reveal this to him but Abba in heaven. There was a man of the Pharisees. This man was a ruler of the Jews. I would call you to remember that in the hierarchy of godless spirits a class of these are called "rulers of darkness of this world", and if all it took was for Peter to say " not so Lord this will not happen to you" and the Lord called Peter, Satan. Matthew 23:15 reads, Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! you travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. John had the decision to say, I'm not turning, I'm busy keeping myself alive from beasts and depression and separation. The true sight of John had him far above the circumstances. He never for a minute thought he was forsaken. Maybe one of the other days on the island, but this day he was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. Forgotten was those days of darkness. In the beginning was the Word. The Word was with God. The Word was GOD. The same (Word)was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him (the Word).WITHOUT Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life. He was in the world. The world was made by Him. the world did not know HIM. The Life that was in HIM was the LIGHT of men. The LIGHT is invincible. This is the true LIGHT that LIGHTS every man that comes into the world. He was in the world.(that He made)And he brought His Life which is the light to His created ones. but the world knew HIM not. HE came to his own people and HIS own received him not. There was a man sent from GOD. John by name. John came for a witness of the LIGHT, that all men might BELIEVE. and  as many as RECEIVED Him.(The WORD) To them gave HE power to become the Sons of GOD. To them that believe on HIS name. These believers are BORN OF THE WILL OF GOD. THE WORD was made flesh and dwelt among us. We HIS witnesses saw HIS GLORY. ...

Jerusalem leveled many times, conquered many times. But see something with me, Revelation 21:1-7  it shows that the real fight is not for dust and dirt. This fight is for eternity, which can only be Spirit. God's Spirit to be exact.  If you bring fire to a water fight you'll be out first and these are everlasting results, if you fall that's where you lay.  God is not bringing his tabernacle down to be with humans created  in his image but refuse his Spirit. God is Spirit. God is human.(See Jesus Christ) God is Holy.(See Holy Spirit if you can) The war being waged is for eternal souls, acreage, air space. We have a visual aid in this war. We can see this natural world and in a way we fight for this world. but see what I see, it's not enough. When everything stinks the natural sights do not inspire a rally spirit ,or a resolve. What if the picture of victory given us becomes our hearts cry? We fight for god's will to be done. A new Heaven a new Earth and God's new...

I turned to see the voice that spake with me. John was exiled on the isle of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. John was not alone. What he saw first is surprising to me. He saw seven golden candlesticks. Now think for a minute, search your memory banks of scripture and can you see anywhere in the Bible where the church speaks to a man on earth? He turned to see the voice and he saw it. A couple of thoughts to insert here, if my people...then will I hear from Heaven. Or how about Revelation 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. Did you see where he comes to who he is talking to and then he fights with those who are casting a stumbling block with the sword of his mouth. I see a victorious church.
