Nicodemus

There was a man of the Pharisees. This man was a ruler of the Jews. I would call you to remember that in the hierarchy of godless spirits a class of these are called "rulers of darkness of this world", and if all it took was for Peter to say " not so Lord this will not happen to you" and the Lord called Peter, Satan. One such as Nicodemus is treading on shaky ground. Matthew 23:15 reads, Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! you travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are. The Lord Jesus Christ spoke these words. And now one comes to him by night. This is his opening volley, "Teacher, we know". "We" he speaks for others and reveals this. He is confident in his companions, and the opening is a garage door sized compliment or at least it would be in the circles Nicodemus travels in. But remember Mark 1:23-24, And there was in the synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out ,saying, 'Let US alone; what have WE to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Are you come to destroy US? I KNOW YOU, who YOU are, the Holy one of God". So having Nicodemus say "we know" puts him in company he thought nothing of being in. We know you are come from God, the miracles tell us God is with you.(paraphrased)  The Lord answers," EXCEPT your born again you can't see the kingdom of God." To me this reveals a motive of some other working. Was Nicodemus seeking common ground? In a world seeking to blend all kinds of belief systems together. This must be entertained, The Lord shut this down with you can't see, so you don't know. The Pharisee avoids this and addresses the "born again" statement from an earth process question which reveals he knows zero or that he is befuddled. This confirms what the Lord said "you can't see'.Water and Spirit are needed to enter and see the Kingdom. Nicodemus answers "How?' The Lord answers "Your a teacher and you don't know this. Nicodemus said "we know" and The Lord has proven over and over that is not accurate.

"We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and you receive not our witness."
John 3:11 This pattern of believing is repeated in the book of Revelation. John telling us the things he saw and heard. John even reveals that some things he heard he was not allowed to reveal. But look at The Lord's wording, "OUR witness." The lord speaks for others and reveals this. The lord is confident in his companions and this word is a garage sized door in the Kingdom of heaven for men down through the ages: to see and hear such things as Isaiah 6:8 "Whom shall I send, and who will go for US?" Nicodemus came to Jesus by night but the Lord was not alone. I was asked once in the Spirit how many people I had lead to the Lord and the Spirit answered for me saying, "everyone of them" IF YOUR WORDS ARE WITNESSED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT BE CONFIDENT even Nicodemus finds his way home with that kind of help.

John 3:12
I have told you of earthly things, and you believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?"
