When your truth turns out to be a lie
Picture yourself on a rollercoaster. Dips and curves, ups and downs.Great high places and fast descent to low places that leave you wanting at least a brake peddle to slow this thing down. Now think with me about life. Some of the decisions made were with less than good information. I looked around and thought that's how everyone else is doing it so it must be the right way. Now the years have accumulated and those decisions and many others are forgotten because they seem to be foundational in your life. Even the moral things seem to have worked themselves out."I'm a pretty good person." Once again looking around at what can be seen and using sight as a fulcrum on life's roller coaster.
But one day the track on the coaster ends. Your car is sent flying out over a great valley that glows red like the fire of California and Australia. Freeze the frame hanging between how did I get here and what is next? This is where you can see that your truth is a lie. Life is not a game but a test. And as much as we would like to think that we can do this on our own. That is just not true. There is no group of people that you can assemble to help you through this hanging in mid-air, fire below scenario. The problem is you can't see it till your there. You can't see the lie of the deceiver. His purpose is to deceive. You can't see where people go when the spirit leaves their body. You can't see that being a pretty good person is not what got you to this place. You can't see that a flatline EKG and a time of death is already known.
But God gave us a measure of FAITH. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of THINGS NOT SEEN. Hell is for the creation that never accepted Jesus Christ as savior. Repentance is a confession of the miss-appropriation of the life God gave you. Using that life for self and leaving God on the outside. Hell is separation. Hell is, in fact, the separation you chose to have your entire life. A life without God and never corrected will result in eternity without God. Hell is fire. God angry at rejection. Your life told others God is a lie. Remember, how you make decisions looking around. You helped others hang over the fire. Donte said, "Abandon all hope you that enter here".
