Me

Me helping God is sin at its core
To lean on the power that comes from a man
Is like going out at midnight to get a tan

By his breath, we came to be
Formed in his likeness
But we named ourselves, Me

Me helping God is sin at its core
Who were we when we were born?
A reflection of God and all His might

Want for His power drove lucifer out of his mind
Adam chose more, leaving perfection behind
All a grab to be like the highest

What we do know
Me helping God is sin at its core
A sovereign act is all we see
He never needed me

Love revealed is all this is
Me helping God is sin at its core
Christ on the cross, rescuing the lost
The heart of true perfection
Forgiving surrendered Me
