Heaven Stands

If destiny is choice unchanged
Then destination is the same
Christ stood as a man rearranged
Unlike any he was selfless, taking our blame
With no loss for words, he sought to change the pattern
He sought to loose the creatures from their cords
He sought to restore the things that mattered
His appearance was as any man's
But his heart is that on which heaven stands
With his word he breaks the silence
Bringing life to these dead men's bones
Speaking words of a new covenant
Offering his creation a new alliance
Eternal life and heaven as our home

But men love darkness and to fight
They declare their wisdom and their right
Power they seek, but weaker they become
Wail and mourn they will, when they see, here he comes
